Germany & QI with Steven Fry!

Hello my lovelies

Just wanted to tell you guys what i got up to in Germany and how being in the audience of QI was last night in London!
Well firstly, it was boiling! I have a new love for short skirts now!
The sun never seemed to want to go to sleep, the days were long and lovely and there was never a moment when i was cold.
I was a little bit ill during my holiday but that could have been my allergies. I am allergic to grass and straw/hay. Not too fun.

I tried German ice cream for the first time, i want to go back just for that! I also visited my very first internet cafe. It was 80 cents for half an hour. Thats about 50p in England! The keyboard antics i had were fun (which you will have read about in my random update hehe) the only bit i didn't like was that people were allowed to smoke in the cafe (it's illegal in England).
I met my boyfriends Uncle, Oscar. He is the number one Elvis collector in Europe. He showed me his collection for hours, i was absoultely blown away. He had clothes elvis wore, like shirts, trousers, hats, sunglasses along with photos of his idol wearing them. He even had the original reciepts of his first recording session. He knew absolutely everything about Elvis, he was such a character. I'm so glad he could speak English.

I was often lost in translation because i was the only one in a big room of family who couldn't speak German but i still had a lovely time. It was a lovely break from England. The drive was a bit long on the way there because of traffic. We drove through France, Belgium, Holland and then Germany. The ferry was nice too.

Now onto QI! If you havn't heard of QI, it's an English comedy panel show with Steven Fry as the host. Heres a Wiki article on it if you don't know it. It's amazing! Being there in the audience was awesome! The waiting around beforehand was a bit annoying, but we got amazing seats! Me and my bf hung around London before we went in, we had crepes, avacado sandwiches and HUGE fruit smoothies that gave us a massive sugar rush in Gabriels Wharf. We also walked along the edge of the Thames and looked at the lovely Lights at night time. It was a lovely day.

As you can see i have a new photo up from Germany. It was taken in my boyfriend's grans back garden. We stayed at her house where she used to live before she died. It's HUGE! But most houses in Germany are massive.
Anyways, kisses from Germany and England to my watchers.
Have a lovely day
:sun:

PS: I discovered how much i love Bob Marley's music while i was travelling. His lyrics have inspired me!

Hope you liked them guys

Buhbye for now!

Acupuncture?

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 24, 2008, 4:05 AM

FAQ | Prints | Stock | News Articles | Blog | Youtube | Model Mayhem

I have my weekly physiotherapy appointment today. (Due to a neck injury 2 years ago) and Rob (my physiotherapist) tells me i am going to have acupuncture. I'm not really scared but i am a little worried.
Have any of you guys ever had acupuncture? If so whats it like?

I'm not a big fan of needles (nobody is!) but then i'm not terryfied of them either but i must admit i'm not looking forward to having needles pushed into my neck and wiggled around.

I know i have to go through this because i don't want to be a cripple my whole life! On the 17th of July 2006 i was at a concert in London and i swang my head around so much my neck decided not to work anymore. I couldn't hold up the weight of my own head or move my neck at all. I had to leave the concert early in the back of an ambulance so missed out on going backstage with my pass (Red hot chili peppers come on....) which sucked. I was strapped into a neck brace and then strapped to a bed all night.
After X-Rays it was revealed i had twisted my spine (and somehow didn't die!). I remember a few days later (when i had gotten used to being in a brace 24/7) i heard a massive clunk in my neck and after an MRI scan it was revealed that it had somehow re-aligned itself. (It dosn't really seem possible does it!)
2 years and a lot of pain later and i finally had an appointment at the hospital (bloody NHS) which was last week.
Rob told me the whole left side of my neck and back is completely solid (like the muscle dosn't move) so i had to have an hour long (incredibly painful) manipulative massage. It was ok i guess, Rob did make me laugh the whole time even though i was crying too. Hopefully this acupuncture won't be as bad as i think. I have been through worse.

Sorry for the big worry rant ^^;
Please help me not be worried!

Injections, mice and bums!

:giggle: I thought the title would interest some people

What a pickle i ended up in yesterday!
So this is what happened...

I went to my friend, drum teacher and drummer of Amber Room's house (his name is John). I was planning on filming Amber Room rehearse to add to part of their music video i am making. Now i say this in the nicest possible way, but John's house is a bit of a dump. He is a lovely guy but his "habits" are not so lovely. Me and my boyfriend spotted a mouse in his kitchen while we were waiting for him to return home (we had heard him at night before and John was aware of the little buggers existance). While the band were jamming i proceeded in hunting the mouse down. I managed to catch him after half an hour of placing random bits of bread around the fridge XD. I showed him to the band and then took him outside to let him go free. (There was no way i was going to hurt him might i add)

When i opened my hand on the grass of the front garden he seemed to like sitting there in my palm. I stroked him for a while and he snuffled his little nose in the cutest way around my hand for a while. He wouldn't get off my hand! I tried to gently move my hand from under him so as not to hurt him and what did he do! HE BIT ME! Really hard!
In shock i stood up and stormed indoors to clean my hand which was bleeding a moderate amount. Seeing as there was no hot water at Johns and only washing up liquid i realised the best i could do really was try to squish the blood out of my finger.

After having a little panic i decided i should call NHS direct because i have never had a tetanus injection in my life. (If you don't know what tetanus is click here) When i was younger i had the disease explained to me. Apparently it easily spreads from soil, dirt and animal bites. Now this mouse wasn't particularly clean (especially in John's house) and it did bite me pretty deep. I got a phonecall back from a doctor who said i needed to go to hospital right away. I was so thankful to have my boyfriend with me who drove me all the way to the hospital in the middle of the night. I was actually pretty scared because i havn't had an injection in years (but plenty of piercings and blood tests so i shouldn't have been bothered to be honest). I was called through to a nurse almost instantly who got out an injection and seemed to be totally in shock that there was a mouse in my hand in the first place! I had to (embaressingly) have it in my bum!
:aww:

After all was over i felt a bit dizzy and had a tiny bit of trouble walking but i was pleased i would be ok (and i would only be on antibiotics for three weeks...).

A warning to all of you! If there is a mouse in your house catch it in a box or something, not your hands. And don't be silly like i was and let it bite you!!
:lmao:

So with a sore bottom i now feature some of my newest favourites and my prints and hope my watchers don't give me too much stick for being such a silly girl!

Three years on DeviantART!

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 4, 2008, 3:56 AM

.

.

Tommorow is my third year on DeviantART.
Thats quite a while!
There are certainly no other sites on the web that i have been so loyal to! And this is the only site i pay for too! (subby, even if it is running out!)
This is one hell of a good website, and it's changed so much too!
Look at what my profile looked like in 2006! Clicky
And i have changed too.

When i got an account here in 2005 i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life. Now after three years of admiring the amazing art and photography on this site i have since been accepted to study at University. Doing Photography of all things! Who'd have thought! When i signed up i didn't even own a camera!
And i looked like a red, blue , hairy mop!
Hahaha!
Oh the memories.

It's actually quite refreshing to look back on my life and see how i have changed.
Anyways to celebrate this big anniversary i am planning on making a photograph which i've wanted to make for years. Now i have a tripod and an income i think i can achieve it, even if it will be a lot of work. I'm also renting a lighting kit today to try and get it perfect. I'm not promising it will be up tommorow but i'm hoping it will be.

Thank you for reading!
Heres to another three years on DeviantART! *cheers*

Thanks for reading
